It seems that going to war was a politically and economically sound decision for the Republicans. ويبدو ان الذهاب الى الحرب كان سياسيا واقتصاديا سليما المقرر للجمهوريين. A pre-emptive war seems like a risky political gamble and reminds me of وقائية الحرب تبدو محفوفه بالمخاطر السياسية ومقامره يذكرني Minority Report تقرير الاقليات (or “Wolfowitz’s Report”). (او "وولفويتز"). Furthermore when the war turns out to be based on misinformation and degenerates into incredibly costly (in money and lives) guerilla warfare you might think that the gamble backfired. وعلاوة على الحرب عندما تبين ان يستند الى معلومات مضلله والمنحطون مكلفا بصورة لا تصدق (في الاموال والارواح (حرب عصابات وأعتقد انكم قد لعبة قمار ان نتائج عكسيه. Apparently a large number of ويبدو ان عددا كبيرا من conservatives are quite frustrated المحافظون أحبطت تماما with the Republican administration painting its foreign policy into a corner and refusing to admit that this whole plan of war with Iraq was probably a bad idea. مع لوحة الادارة الجمهورية في سياستها الخارجية في مأزق والى رفض هذا كله ان نعترف بان خطة الحرب مع العراق ربما كانت فكرة سيئة. It is well known that war can polarize politics within a population, especially when accompanied by statements by the President such as: “you’re either with us or against us.” Additionally I have noticed that debates that degenerate into personal attacks are also more polarizing than debates that are concerned with complicated and hard issues like the economy, healthcare, poverty, or even how to reduce the threat of terrorism. ومن المعروف جيدا ان الحرب لا يمكن في إطار سياسة استقطاب السكان ، لا سيما عندما تكون مصحوبه البيانات التى ادلى بها الرئيس مثل : "اما انت معنا او ضدنا." بالاضافة الى أنني قد لاحظوا ان المناقشات التي تتحول الى الهجمات الشخصيه هي أيضا أكثر استقطاب من المناقشات التي تتعلق بقضايا معقدة وصعبة مثل الاقتصاد ، والرعايه الصحية ، والفقر ، او حتى كيف للحد من خطر الارهاب. Often these latter types of issues require middle ground وكثيرا ما تكون هذه الاخيرة انواع من القضايا تحتاج الى أرضية مشتركة which is not a common thing to find these days وهي ليست مشتركة للعثور على شيء هذه الأيام . There are not a lot of good reasons on paper to keep Bush in power ( ليست هناك الكثير من الاسباب الوجيهه لابقاء على ورقة بوش في السلطة) see this data انظر هذه البيانات ) but emphasis is being successfully moved away from the data and towards the issue of war leadership, claiming: (ولكن التركيز انتقل يجري بنجاح بعيدا عن البيانات وتجاه قضية قيادة الحرب ، مدعيا :

• that Bush is the best suited candidate for helping reduce terrorism threats to the US and cooperating with other countries to around the world in combatting terrorist organizations ان بوش هو المرشح الانسب للمساعدة في خفض التهديدات الارهابيه الى الولايات المتحدة وبالتعاون مع البلدان الاخرى الى جميع انحاء العالم فى مكافحة المنظمات الارهابيه
• that a vote against Bush increases the likelihood of another 9/11. ان تصويت ضد بوش يزيد من احتمال آخر 9 / 11. Cheney did clarify his comments تشيني لم يوضح تعليقاته here هنا and said he was refering to the probability that Kerry would drop the Minority-Report-attack-policy which Cheney seems to believe could have prevented 9/11. وقال انه كان يشير الى احتمال ان كيري من شأنه اسقاط تقرير الاقليه - - - سياسة الهجوم الذي يبدو ان تشيني يعتقدون ان ذلك قد منعت 9 / 11.

Thanks to a successful mudslinging campaign many people do believe these premises. وبفضل نجاح حملة التشهير اعتقد العديد من الناس لهذه المباني. Others, myself included, feel that: آخرون ، وأنا منهم ، نرى ان :

• global terror levels have increased since the start of the war on terror, and particularly Iraq مستويات الارهاب العالمي قد ازدادت منذ بداية الحرب على الارهاب ، وخصوصا العراق
• that Bush has not shown much interest in international cooperation or much understanding of foreign affairs ان بوش لم تبد الكثير من الاهتمام والتعاون الدولي أو في فهم الكثير من الشؤون الخارجية
• and finally that the audacity of the pre-emptive strike policy probably increases the likelihood of being targeted for more attacks واخيرا ان الجراه للضربة وقائية السياسة ربما يزيد من احتمال استهداف لمزيد من الهجمات
