We’ve all seen at some point in our lives that some numbers seem to have magical properties. Well it turns out that all numbers are special you just need to look a bit closer by consulting this awesome site. Turns out that my favorite number is “the smallest abundant number.” Of course it is…now I just need to find out what “abundant” means in the language of math.

you know, they’re also referred to as “excessive” numbers.
Here’s your math lesson for the day: any number (integer) can be either Excessive, Deficient or Perfect. When you take a number’s positive divisors, and add them up, the result is either greater than, less than or equal to twice the original number. If it’s greater than, the the original number is abundant. I’m sure you can figure out the rest…
