Wired News: Better Science Through Gaming: Enormous quantities of data generated by automated techniques in genetics and proteomics have led to an unprecedented requirement for tedious data mining. Obviously with salaries overseas as little as 1/10th of silly valley’s it is theoretically possible to outsource your jobs and therefore manage to carry several jobs simultaneously. Eyetracking experiments show how users scan webpages and has implications for anyone doing design or decisions about content location. Seems to confirm what a lot of us know intuitively already but backs it up with data that could be useful maximizing the effectiveness of layout for sites that have large numbers of vistors.
