Out of the emptiness…
May 21st, 2004 | by ian |From nothing more than a decade (and then some) of interaction between neurons and the internet mediated by various rudimentary computer interfaces:
Infreemation came to be. And it was good. Or so it hoped.
“The time has come,” so I said, “To talk of many things:
Of ‘net and discs and friendly folk
Of the farewell to kings
And when our rights are being sold
And whither went my pings”
Apologies to Charles Lutwidge Dodgson
Either way it was clear that the time had come to participate in something other than the brick and mortar aspect of the ‘net. To regain the perspective that layers one through seven of the OSI network model exist only to enrich ourselves, the all-important eighth layer.
