Superballs rock!

February 13th, 2006 | by ian |

When I was a kid I played a lot with superballs. So of course I loved this commerical (for Sony Bravia whatever that is – see below). Invented in the 60s, they were mass produced when I was growing up in the 80s and available in all kinds of cool colours and sizes. Sparkles were popular. We had lots of fun outside after dusk with “glow in the dark” versions! (Hmmm that would make a great video also…) Bruises were a common side affect of such games but no more than in any other sport. The superball is a great toy but it probably wouldn’t be a commerically success in today’s highly litigious comsumer market.

Cool video, I want to know if the child in the ad survived the deluge. Those suckers can really inflict pain!
