Test for network neutrality – will Google help?
August 29th, 2006 | by ian |Recently reported on Boing Boing:
Dan Kaminsky, DNS hacker and rootkit infection sleuth, has devised a test for checking to see if your Internet connection is “neutral” — that is, whether your connection is being filtered, throttled, slowed down, or monkeyed with secretly by your ISP
Google has registered some “test” domains, Garett hypothesizes that Google will start offering some kind of online examinations, but I wonder if they might provide an application to test network service levels. One would hope.
Apparently Kaminsky will release reports of progress on his site “Doxpara”
